Harga makanan yang ugal-ugalan

Biasanya kita mendapatkan satu nasib pecel seharga Rp 5 hingga Rp 10 ribu, namun di Papua jangan harap bisa dapat dengan harga segitu. Pasalnya di pulau satu ini, saking tingginya biaya hidup dan sulitnya transportasi, satu porsi nasi pecel bisa seharga Rp 70 ribu. Bisa dibayangkan betapa mahalnya makanan yang sering kita jumpai ini. Ternyata tidak hanya nasib pecel, makanan yang lain pun dibandrol dengan harga yang ugal-ugalan. Misal bakso yang sampai Rp 40 ribu atau sekedar kopi atau teh seharga Rp 15 ribu. Selama ini masyarakat Papua terus bertahan dengan keadaan seperti itu.

Harga gas elpiji bisa bikin miskin

Jika di pulau lain gas elpiji 15 kilo dijual sekitar Rp 130 ribu-an, kalau di Papua harga itu akan meningkat hingga berkali-kali lipat. Bayangkan saja harga grosir langsung di agen saja mencapai Rp 275 ribu per tabungnya. Sedangkan kalau sudah diecer, harga tabung gas ini bisa mencapai Rp 500 per satuannya. Karena alasan biaya pengiriman dan lain sebagainya lah yang membuat harga di Papua jadi mahalnya bukan main. Namun demikian beberapa warga Papua merasakan hal itu tidak terlalu berdampak karena masih banyak dari mereka yang menggunakan minyak tanah atau dengan melakukan pembakaran tradisional

Bensin menjadi salah satu barang yang penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun bagaimana kalau harga perliternya mencapai Rp 100 ribu? Pastinya bakal banyak orang yang protes pada pemerintah. Namun sayangnya, hal itulah yang terjadi di Papua sana. Alih-alih dihargai Rp 7500, di Papua Bensin dijual sangat mahal per liternya. Oleh sebab itu jarang orang menggunakan kendaraan bermotor di sana, biayanya terlalu mahal. Hebatnya, masyarakat Papua tidak pernah mengeluh mengenai keadaannya yang seperti itu, anteng-anteng saja. Beruntung Papua tertolong rencana pemerintah yang diberlakukan tahun ini agar harga BBM di sana tidak terlampau jauh ketimbang pulau lain.

Air mineral Papua seharga makanan mewah di tempat lain

Ternyata air putih / mineral juga menjadi barang yang sangat mahal di Papua. Dikirim dari luar pulau, harga di Papua ternyata bisa mencapai Rp 50 ribu perbotolnya. Mungkin bagi kita ini harga yang tidak wajar, atau ulah nakal pedagang, namun di Papua, itulah kenyataannya. Oleh sebab itu masyarakat Papua lebih memilih untuk mendapatkan air matang sendiri ketimbang membeli air mineral dalam bentuk botolan. Bisa dibayangkan sendiri bukan kalau air mineral saja harganya selangit bagaimana dengan barang lain? Padahal Papua kaya akan sumber dayanya, Ironis memang.

Hal ini pastinya sangat berkebalikan dengan yang ada di pulau lain. Oleh karena itu makanan-makanan yang terbuat dari telur juga mengalami peningkatan harga yang signifikan. Oleh karenanya, konsumsi telur dari luar pulau sengaja ditekan agar warganya bisa lumayan mengurangi pengeluaran.
